A thirteen year old girl was initiated into the cult of incestuous sex by her father Segun Durojaiye, a secondary school teacher based in Sagamu.
According to the victim’s testimony her father and later her uncle had sexual relationship with her leading to three pregnancies that were soon after terminated in each case.
The unidentified victim lived with her father on Baba-Benja Street, Oreyo, Igbogbo Ikorodu.
Punch reports that the victim was being taken care of by her father and step mother after her maternal mother passed away. The victim kept it a secret until the penultimate yuletide season when she confided in a stepsister who revealed the ungodly act to the grandmother.
“The grandmother tried to manage the matter, but some residents got wind of it and involved a lawyer. The lawyer petitioned the Lagos State Police Command on behalf of the girl. The girl’s father and her uncle were arrested and the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.
“The suspects confessed to have had canal knowledge of her on three occasions respectively. In the course of investigation, one Adenike, the second child of Segun, corroborated the victim’s claims. She said her sister complained to her about how their father was sexually molesting her. Adenike said she cautioned her father, but he continued. The father teaches at Ijagba Community High School,” a police source told Punch.
The suspects have been arraigned before a Yaba magistrate court on 8 counts of rape and sexual molestation.
