Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has publicly vowed to take action against her colleague Eniola Badmus after being referred to as an “animal” in a private message shared between the two.

The dispute, which erupted following their altercation at the Owanbe Thieves movie premiere hosted by actress Eniola Ajao on Sunday, escalated after Bakare took to Instagram on Monday to expose a direct message from Badmus, in which she reportedly said: “Don’t bring your terrible animalistic behaviour around me. Stay farrrrrrrr.”

Bakare responded with a fiery post, sharing a screenshot of the message while recounting her past support for Badmus during the early days of her career. She accused the plus-sized actress of being ungrateful, claiming she gave her the first major role at a time when no one wanted to associate with her because of her “ugly looks and obesity.”

“I gave you your first major role in life when no one wanted to associate with you… I spent my own hard-earned money on an ingrate like you, and all you could pay me back with is to call me ‘Animal’? Haaa! ENIOLA!” Bakare wrote. “Almighty God will judge you, Insha Allah. You just started what you cannot finish, and I promise you must collect.”
