Large turn out of voters in Kebbi, as voting commences

Voting has commenced peacefully in Augie and Argungu Local Government Areas of Kebbi with large turnout of voters recorded, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
A NAN correspondent who monitored the election in Argungu and Augie areas reports that
hundreds of voters came out as earlier as 7:30am to be accredited and caste their votes.
The election began in most polling units at about 9am, with the police providing security at the polling centres.
 A voter, Abubakar Muhammad expressed delighted over the peaceful conduct of the election and prayed that the exercise would end peacefully.
Also, the Governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji  Isa Galaudu, who cast his vote at M.D.G solar pump polling unit 003 in Augie, said reports he received from across the state indicated that the elections were peaceful.
“I hope at the end of the election, the voice of the people, the wishes of the people will be upheld,” he said.(NAN)
