Well deserved and clinical, Lazio beat Juventus in emphatic fashion to claim Supercup trophy in Saudi Arabia.

The old ladies conceded early in the match thanks to Lazio’s Luis Alberto’s finish from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s lay-off but Dybala restored parity with a simple tap-in at the end of the first half.

Senad Lulic volleyed Lazio back into the lead with 17 minutes to go.

It went from bad to worse for Juventus as Rodrigo Bentancur was shown red in injury time with Danilo Cataldi curling home the resulting free-kick for Lazio.

Juventus had only lost twice under Mauricio Sarri both 3-1 against Lazio having been beaten by Simeone Inzaghi’s side in Serie A two weeks ago.

The was the fourth time in the last 8 season both sides had met in the super cup final and so far the spoils are equally shared.
