Former Barnsley’s development squad and  Bristol City caretaker manager, Paul Heckingbottom, who was appointed as manager at Leeds United on February 6, 2018, has been sacked.

He took over the managerial position  following the sack of Thomas Christiansen and earned his first point as Leeds Head Coach on February 18 in a 2-2 draw against Bristol City.

His sack was decided based on his inability to improve the form of the players since he joined the club.

Prior to his sack,  Leeds United were considering replacing Paul Heckingbottom  with a shock approach for Marcelo Bielsa as manager.

Heckingbottom signed an 18-month deal with Leeds United  but got axed following the club’s  poor 13th position in the Championship season.
