Popular Instagram comedian, Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni has been arrested by police at the #LekkiTollGate protest ground in Lagos.
Like others, the comedian was at the toll gate early Saturday to protest the decision of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry to allow the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) to take back control of the toll complex.
Footage streamed via Instagram Live showed that the police picked up the protester after ordering him to leave.
He was seen detained in a Black Maria, which is a police vehicle for transporting detainees.
It was learnt that Mr Macaroni, who was an active participant in October’s #EndSARS protests, lamented the heavy presence of security agents at the toll gate before the police seized his phone and that of other protesters.
It was not immediately stated why the celebrity protester was arrested.
