David Luiz glanced from Nicholas Pepe’s cross for an early first-half goal which Arsenal managed to hold on to finish the game 1-0 and beat Bournemouth at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

If goals were the only metrics then nothing else matter but even though the gunners had managed to win on the day, the win had a sour taste and left fans of the London club with mixed feeling. More fears than belief, more uncertainties than confidence.

The Gunners must now begin to believe in the possibility of toppling the champions but with ambiguous performances like Sunday’s that’s just a pipe dream and the Emirates must clearly define their identity going forward.
Arsenal was pretty much on the backfoot for the much of the game after Luiz’s goal with the visitors thrusting forward with wave after wave of attacks.
