Walter Palmer with Cecil the Lion

Walter Palmer, the US doctor accused of killing popular Zimbabwean lion, Cecil the Lion will return to his dental practice on Tuesday.

Palmer had sparked a world-wide outcry in July when he killed the famous 13-year-old lion, in a hunt he insisted was legal.

He said he could not wait to return to his staff and patients at his River Bluff Dental practice in Bloomfield, Minnesota after a two-month break, in a chat with Associated Press.

“I need to get back to my staff and my patients, and they want me back,” the 55-year-old said.

“This has been especially hard on my wife and my daughter,” he stated.
