Liverpool are currently top of the English Premier League with 5 points ahead of Man City but Klopp believes the Cityzens who have managed 99 points in successive campaigns are still are the best team in the world.

“We cannot be the best team in Europe because Manchester City are the best team in the world – and that is the same planet I’ve heard,” Klopp said

“There are a lot of good teams out there and you have to prove that [you are up there with the best] constantly.

“Last year, we were really good. I’m not sure we were the best team in Europe, but we were really good in the right moments and that’s why we won the Champions League.”
