Liverpool have clinched the 2022 Carabao Cup title with a pulsating 11-10 penalty win over Chelsea.
The Merseysiders won their record ninth EFL title thanks to a penalty miss by Chelsea’s substitute goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The 27-year-old Spaniard ballooned his spot-kick over the crossbar having failed to keep out any of Liverpool’s 11 kicks.
In the game played at the Wembley Stadium, both teams played out a barren 120 minutes of football before the encounter was decided by penalties.
