Looted Funds: Buhari Issues Fresh Statement

President Buhari has stated that treasury looters who stole and shared funds meant for the purchase of arms and ammunition for the Nigerian army are regretting and will continue to regret their actions.

Buhari also revealed that his government will not conceal anything from Nigerians total commitment to restore the economic fortunes of Nigeria.

Buhari made this known while playing host to the Northern Christian Leaders Eagle Eye Forum in Statehouse at Abuja, the federal capital territory on Friday, 8th July

Buhari who issued a statement through his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.

“It is saddening that some of those who stole from our national resources put the money in their personal accounts.

“However, it is gratifying that those who stole money and shared funds meant for the purchase of arms for our military are regretting their actions and they will regret more.

“Those caught in corruption will have themselves to blame,’’ he said.
