“Love is good, but doesn’t pay bills” – Reno Omokri tells intending couples
A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has advised intending couples not to focus on love alone as it does not sustain a relationship.
He said that besides love, a couple needs money, accommodation, and maturity for their relationship to work.
Omokri, who is a US-based pastor, stated this in a tweet over the Christmas weekend as part of his #RenosNuggets, a daily motivational series on social media.
According to him, a couple must prepare ahead before giving birth to children so as to be able to adequately raise them.
“A marriage can’t survive on love alone. You need money, accommodation, maturity.
“It is animals that have children and then look for how to feed them.
“As a human being, you are supposed to prepare and marry, not marry and prepare.
