The Dutch coach has had a difficult time at the theatre of dreams, he got some reprieve by winning the FA cup on Saturday, but his time is now over at the club as he has now been sacked.

He endured a poor season with Manchester United finishing outside the top four and will find themselves in the cousin of the Champions League next season — The Europa League.

The manager was sacked along with his dutch coaching staff and is said to have paved the way for Jose Mourinho to take over.

The Portuguese coach could resume as early as tomorrow if reports are anything to go by.

Van Gaal took over the Manchester club in 2014 after the exit of David Moyes and won a solitary trophy– The FA cup.
