Andre Villas-Boas, has blasted Spurs chairman after admitting that Chelsea was “too much too soon”.

The 33 -year old, became the youngest manager to win an European Competition, guiding Porto to the Europa league title and adding the Portuguese  league and cup to secure the treble in his first season.

The Portuguese manager was hailed as the successor to Jose Mourinho but lasted only two years in English  football.

Andre Villas-Boas,  believes he started his career as a manager very early in life hence the little setback.

Speaking at the final day for the Aspire4Sport and the Aspire Academy Global Summit on Football Performance and science which is taking place at the iconic Amsterdam  Arena, home of AFC Ajax  he said “The Chelsea experience was too much too soon.

“I wasnt flexible as a manager at that time. I was communicative but not flexible in my approach , At Tottenham, I learnt to be different.

“In professional  football  you have to live the day-to-day. The Objective is the group’s  performance because every single individual  requiress a different response from a manager. You can’t be the same person to each player.

“At Chelsea, the group was more important  I stuck to my methods too much. ”

While pragmatic  about his reason for failure in his career,  Villas -Boas said “Daniel Levy is an expert in sacking managers. There is no time for long term project in the premiere League.

Andre’s last coaching job ended last season with Zenith St Petersburg.
