Newly reinstated Deputy Governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere has stated that Rochas Okorocha is still his boss and that he has no grudge.

Madumere was reinstated after a High Court overturned his impeachment which according to them did not follow due process and was there illegal, null and void.

The Deputy Governor was impeached on the 30th of July after he was allegedly found guilty of absence from important meetings and alleged misdemeanour in the United States.

It was reported that there was a heavy feud between Madumere and Okorocha and it was also reported that this was due to the fact that the Deputy Governor wanted to run for the top office in the state in the next elections while Okorocha is backing his son-in-law.

With the standoff creating rifts in the state party, it was alleged that this was the reason for the Deputy Governor’s attempted impeachment.

Madumere resumed his duties as Deputy Governor and speaking on his reinstatement, he said: “Governor Rochas Okorocha is my boss and will always remain my boss as long as I am the deputy governor of Imo State”,

He added: “I don’t have any grudges against anybody; and those who orchestrated the impeachment plot against me, I have forgiven you. I am a child of God.”
