Magixx: Fear of Embarrassment Is Holding Talented People Back

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Magixx has shared a bold take on success and self-belief, warning that fear of embarrassment is a major reason many people fail to realise their full potential.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Hip TV programme Trending, the Mavin Records artist challenged the popular notion that more talented individuals exist outside the spotlight than in it.
“People always say there’s somebody better out there,” Magixx said. “But there’s nobody better out there. The reason why that person is in that office is because they deserve it. That person is the right person for the job. God doesn’t make any mistake.”
He argued that many gifted individuals remain undiscovered or underachieving because they are too afraid of failure or public embarrassment to take risks.
“If you’re afraid of embarrassment, you will never make it in life,” he stated. “A lot of people mismanaged their blessings. Talent isn’t plenty outside. If talent was plenty, they would have seen it.”
