Caleb Igbineweka, a final year student of the University of Benin has been arrested by the Edo state police command for allegedly killing his mother, Josephine for refusing to give him money.
The killing occurred at their residence at 31A, Iyamu Street, off Textile Mill Road, Benin City.
The suspect was said to have stabbed the mother in the room repeatedly with broken bottle thereafter dangled her intestines and his mother’s womb which he ripped before the neighbors.
Some people who witnessed the incident said the deceased passed the night at a neighbor’s house because her son locked her out for not giving him the money he demanded from her.
Spokesman of the Edo State Police Command, DSP Moses Nkombe, confirmed the incident.
