A young girl, 13, has taken in after her grandfather continued to molest her sexually in their home in Kenya.
The victim, who is sadly an orphan, had been staying with the man and his wife for many years but the molestation began to occur in the last three years
According to her, the old man started having forceful sexual intercourse with her in 2016 when she was just in Class 1. She narrated that he would force her to his room and have sex with her whenever his wife, her grandmother, was not in the house.
Afterward, he would give her a sum of Sh 1000 so that she would not report to anyone.
The girl revealed that the wife was not even bothered about what was going in the house as she had a nonchalant attitude towards her.
Meanwhile, her latest pregnancy was not her first. While explaining her ordeal to newsmen from The Star, the victim mentioned that she got pregnant last May and her grandmother did not even think twice before helping her abort the pregnancy.
However, she would not be aborting anymore as her relatives have warned her against doing such.
She said, “I was told by my relatives if I terminate my pregnancy, I will die. So I will keep it.”
Upon examination, a medical center in Nairobi, Nairobi’s Women Hospital, confirmed that the victim had been pregnant for three months and there were signs of bruises around her private parts.
Thankfully, the old man has since been arrested, after the news of his criminal offenses were reported. The case was swiftly moved to a court as the evidence against him were glaring.
