Man Killed In His Home By Drunk Home Invader Who Believed He was In His Own Home

Clifton King a 60-year-old landlord and an army veteran has died in an unfortunate incident in which he was choked to death by a neighbour in Missouri, US.

Investigators have described the case as bizarre.

Michael Augustine under the influence of alcohol who was intruding in King’s house mistook king’s house as his own and choked King to death thinking him as an invader.

Augustine has been charged with involuntary manslaughter as quoted by the local medium, Kansas City

Reports from Raytown Police officials suspect Augustine, who appeared to be smiling in his mugshot, was under the influence at the time.

Police had responded to a 911 call by Augustine to report an intruder.

“he had the intruder pinned down in his front yard.” Raytown police report said.

When the police got there they found him a street away from his own house, restraining King in a choke hold.

Upon inspection, King did not have a pulse and when taken to a hospital was pronounced dead.

Officers report an intoxicated Augustine saying: “That’s right. I f***ed him up.”

An anonymous neighbour informed authorities that King was a military veteran.

“He served our country and that was not an honourable way to treat him.”

Someone had to give up their life because someone was so messed up they didn’t know it wasn’t their home.”
The maximum sentence for first-degree involuntary manslaughter is 10 years in jail.
