Man pushes elder brother’s wife to death

For allegedly pushing his elder brother’s wife to death, a man, Abdullahi Musa, has been arrested by police in Niger State.

The Niger State Police Command nabbed Musa, 37, of Tungan Bata village of Magama Local Government Area of the state, for allegedly killing his brother’s wife, Zainab Isa of the same address.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Usman Adamu, disclosed this in Minna on Friday.

Usman, said on March 7 at about 18:00 hours, one Isa Musa of Tungan Bata village reported at Magama Police station that his younger brother, Abdullahi Musa of the same address pushed his wife, Zainab Isa, and she sustained a fracture on her neck.

He said that the deceased was rushed to New Bussa General hospital where she later died.

The police commissioner said that the suspect had allegedly confessed to committing the crime, although no reason was given for his action.

He added that the suspect has already been charged to court.

The Herald recalls that in January, a husband, one Gimba of Maratu village in Nasko Local Government Area of the state, allegedly killed his wife, Aishatu, after a minor misunderstanding.

He allegedly hit his wife, Aishatu, with a hoe in the forehead and fled.

Although his deceased wife has since been buried according to Islamic rites, the suspect remains at large.
