A six-month pregnant South African teenager was on Friday stoned to death, allegedly by her boyfriend.
The victim, 17-year-old Nomfusi Dlekedla, was found lying down on the floor in an apartment she shared with her boyfriend with her face smashed in, while bricks could be found everywhere on the floor, South African online news medium, Daily Sun reports, quoting the victim’s 65-year-old dad.
Mr Nikiwe Dlekedla said he had tried to make his daughter leave the boy, who is now on the run, but failed.
He said he learnt too late, from her friends, that the boyfriend was abusing his daughter, or he would have done more to stop it.
Dlekedla said the victim’s siblings were devastated by the news and one of them even fainted.
