Goals from Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba shot Manchester United past Chelsea in a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

United featured Chris Smalling in the defense while striker Romelu Lukaku was paired with Marcus Rashford upfront.

Mauricio Sarri would stun football analysts by retaining the team that lost 0-6 shellacking at Man City, except for Kovacic who replaced Barkley in midfield.

Chelsea had it all going fine from the start, with complete passes and shots from David Luiz and Pedro leaving Sergio Romero all sweating.

Then,, Gonzalo Higuain had two quick chances, first finding the top of the net from an acute angle while moments later he headed just wide from Azpilicueta’s cross.

Hazard took the centre stage, drawing fouls, making lung-bursting runs and creating dangerous situations in the United half, but the United kept infiltrating at the slightest chance.

Pogba opened the scoring board with a perfect cross beyond onlooking Chelsea defenders Rudiger, Luiz and Alonso for Ander Herrera to head in stealthily at the back post for a 1-0 lead.

Pogba send the ball to Rashford, who again returned it in a perfect cross for Pogba who’s header could only be parried into the net by below-par Chelsea ‘keeper, Kepa Arizabalaga.

Chelsea’s efforts to recover their losses in the second half are repeatedly met with stiff defence from the Reds.

While Manchester United’s fans couldn’t contain their excitement of progressing to the sixth round, many Chelsea supporters are forced left the stadium early as the defending FA Cup champions were edged out of the FA Cup.
