Willian on the verge of joining Manchester United

Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms with Chelsea for Brazilian winger, Willian.

Chelsea recently rejected several offers from Barcelona for the player, which prompted the Catalan club to sign Malcom from Bordeaux.

The offer which is around €72m is reportedly believed to have several add-ons and clauses with the arrival of Garry Cahill to the old Trafford as a shock option. This is believed to be a last resort for the red devils, in the event that they fail to land a central defender in the summer.

Willian’s exploits at the World Cup, coupled with his lack of game time at Chelsea last season made him desire a move elsewhere and the 30-year-old couldn’t have found a better place than at Manchester where he’ll be reunited with his former coach, Mourinho.

Barcelona had three bids for the player  with the most recent bid valued at €72m earlier in the week but Manchester united seemed to be monitoring the situation as their interest in Gareth Bale gradually faded.

Willian, with his solid relationship with Jose Mourinho being pivotal, is expected to move to the red side of Manchester and complete his medical when other paper works have been finalized.
