The All Progressive Congress has alleged that those looking to frustrate President Buhari’s government are responsible for the on-going massive lay off in the banking sector.
The national auditor of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief George Moghalu, stated this in a recent interview with Daily Sun.
He said that enemies of the APC were behind the mass retrenchment in the banking sector.
He described the mass retrenchment by banks as pure sabotage.
He further accused blackmailers of trying create a situation of uncertainty and unnecessary frustration of the system.
It can be recalled that many banks have, in recent weeks, laid off thousands of staff.
Meanwhile, the federal government also threatened to withdraw the licenses of the affected banks if they continue with the layoffs.
