Undefeated boxing icon Mayweather who retired from boxing in August after 50 undefeated bouts of professional boxing, ending his career with a highly anticipated fight against mixed martial art’s (MMA) biggest star, Conor McGregor, is considering joining the mixed martial arts circuit.

The announcement was made by UFC president Dana White. On Tuesday Joe Rogan a veteran UFC commentator and longtime friend of Dana White made the announcement on his popular podcast after a conversation with Mayweather.

Mayweather first talked about switching to MMA on a video on social media last week. “If I want, I can go, I can come right back to the UFC, I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three or four fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars.”

Mayweather claims he had been offered £1 billion for a multi-fight deal to fight inside the octagon, According to Joe Rogan’s comments this is highly likely

“Floyd talked about it,’ the comedian said on The Joe Rogan Experience.

“This is one thing I can tell you, Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC.

“Like legitimately. I texted him, I go Is Floyd really talking about fighting MMA?” He goes “Yeah, he’s f****** crazy. I told him he’d get killed. But he’s still talking about doing it.”
