Mbappe Receives Threat from Pele, Makes Announcement On His Future

Kylian Mbappe is probably the most popular teenager on the planet at the moment and also the target of a threat from the unlikeliest of sources– Pele

The Brazilian legend was impressed with the 19-year-old’s exploits at the World cup but warned that he might have to return to the pitch if Mbappe keeps equalling his records.

Mbappe was only the second teenager to score twice in a World Cup match as he scored the 3rd and 4th goals in the second round game against Argentina.

He was also only the second teenager to score in a World cup final as he netted the 4th goal for France in the finals yesterday.

The only other teenager to have done it?– Pele

“Only the second teenager to have scored a goal in a #WorldCupFinal ! Welcome to the club, @KMbappe – it’s great to have some company!” the 77-year-old wrote on Twitter.

He also stated that he might be forced out of retirement if the teenage sensation kept equalling his records stating also: “If Kylian keeps equalling my records like this I may have to dust my boots off again…”

Meanwhile, Mbappe has also clarified his future.

The teenager confirmed that he’ll be returning to PSG for the next season.

There had been a lot of speculation with Real Madrid mooted as a possible destination even though Madrid had dismissed this report.

“I will stay with PSG, continuing on my path with them,” Mbappe told reporters.

“I am at the beginning of my career.”

There had been speculation that Mbappe might be Madrid bound after the Spanish outfit sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus for over a 100 Million Euros.

Mbappe’s clubmate, Neymar is also said to be on Madrid’s radar although Madrid has also denied this. The other player linked with Madrid has been Eden Hazard of Belgium.
