MC Oluomo Claims He Spent ₦756 Million of Personal Funds for Tinubu’s 2023 Campaign
The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has claimed that he personally spent over ₦756 million campaigning for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.
In a viral video circulating on social media, MC Oluomo stated that he received no financial support “from Abuja” and that all campaign-related expenses came directly from his own pocket.
According to him, the funds covered accommodation, logistics, and daily allowances for Nollywood actors, actresses, and other supporters who participated in the campaign.
“I spent ₦756 million of my own money during the campaign. Nobody from Abuja gave me a dime. I paid for hotels and took care of everyone working day and night for Asiwaju’s victory,” he said.
The Lagos transport boss and long-time ally of President Tinubu revealed that he booked 140 hotel rooms at ₦45,000 per night for four months, in addition to daily stipends for campaign workers.
Reaffirming his loyalty to Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, MC Oluomo vowed to contribute even more to ensure the president’s reelection.
“We’re not resting. 2027 is around the corner, and we’re already working to make sure Asiwaju wins again,” he declared.
