Medical Students Go on Rampage, Disrupt School Examinations

1 Min Read

The issue of the University of Abuja and its non-accreditation of its Medical school has been an issue that has taken center stage in the academic circle for a while and again, medical students of the University of Abuja have stalled activities in the school this morning to protest the school’s failure to secure accreditation to their programme but were confronted by serious security clampdown.

The protest forced cancellation of exams today. Students are expected to write tomorrow’s paper while that of Monday will be rescheduled.  But it is uncertain how the entire exams will proceed in the face of mounting anger targeted at the school’s management.

Some students whose exams were affected have spoken about joining the protest in solidarity.
