Television personality, singer Melanie Janine Brown, better known as Mel B or Melanie B, is reportedly set to offer her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte a private island and £5million as part of their divorce settlement because the Spice Girl wants to get done with the messy separation as quickly as possible.

According to Daily Mail, this new deal was revealed by sources close to the 41-year-old singer who filed for divorce two weeks ago, and later released a litany of abuse she suffered at the hands of the father of her daughter.

In her court application which later got her a restraining order against Belafonte, the songwriter revealed that he allegedly forced her into having threesome sex, threatened to ruin her career if she dared leave. She also added that he got their nanny pregnant, and on many occasions, he viciously abused her physically. She also got a gag order stopping him from ever leaking hurtful contents against her.

In his statement to TMZ, Belafonte, through his lawyers dismissed the accusations as ‘outrageous’, and later, Belafonte himself said he was more concerned about getting custody of their 5-year-old daughter.

Now, Mel B, who is worth an estimated £48million, wants the separation done with and is ready to part with the island located in the US state of Virginia which she bought for £1million for Stephen’s birthday in 2014.

“Mel wants it done and dusted as quickly as possible to prevent any more harm being done to her kids. She’ll give him £5m plus that bloody white elephant of an island, which was a total waste of money,” sources close to the singer told the press.

“He wants double that, but he’ll take what’s being offered because if he gets into a fight with her then her pockets are much deeper than his,” the report continued.
