Online reports reveal that Lanre Gentry met Mercy Aigbe while she was a staff at a bank.
According to the Pulse.ng, Lanre Gentry at an interview with City People, revealed that he had met his estranged wife through a friend named Muyiwa, while she was still a staff member at Zenith Bank.
According to him, it was affection at first sight, as he told his friend he liked Mercy and he would like to get to know her.
He also said that he begged his friend to introduce them both to each other and went as far as tracing her to her house in Maryland, just to see her.
However, she told him that she was in a relationship and that she couldn’t double date.
His persistence paid off however as he got wind of information of how Mercy’s boyfriend was discovered to have a wife in Ikorodu and the rest from then on is history.
Presently, Mercy Aigbe has succeeded in getting a restraining order against him on the 28th of April, 2017 after filing for it three days earlier.
