Messi Issues Ultimatum To Barcelona Over Mbappe

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi has urged the club to sign 2018 FIFA World Cup Best Young Player, Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain before the August 31 European transfer deadline.

Spanish paper, Don Balon reported that Messi is keeping a close eye on the activities at PSG, who could find themselves in a difficult situation and be forced to sell some players if found to have broken Financial Fairplay Regulations.

This could free the €180 million – rated Mbappe and even world-record signing Neymar to leave the club.

As Real Madrid, who are in dire need of a big name signing following Cristiano Rinaldo’s departure, are believed to be interested in the duo, Messi has reportedly told Barcelona to be on the look out for Mbappe.

Although Barcelona have made huge capital investments in players in recent times, including bringing in Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Malcom, the Blaugrana are still believed to be in need of more bite in attack, especially since Luis Suarez has seemed a bit rusty in recent times.

Messi, Don Balon reported, believes Mbappe will soon that problem for the Spanish champions.
