A former lawyer for American President Donald Trump, Michael Cohen has implicated the President in a huge scandal involving two pornstars

Cohen was before a Manhattan court where he admitted to breaking election laws. He also claimed that he was directed to break said laws by “the candidate” for the “purpose of influencing the (presidential) election”.

While no names were mentioned, Mr. Trump was the only candidate in whose employ Cohen was in

He said before the court that “at the direction of candidate” he tried to pay off Karen McDougal, a former Playboy playmate

The former Presidential lawyer added that he worked “with and at the direction of the same candidate” to deliver a $130,000 (£100,000) payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to silence her claims about an affair.

This is potentially a huge problem for Trump who already has special prosecutor Robert Mueller sniffing around and investigating wrongdoing during Trump’s election campaign

Cohen is also facing charges for $20m (£15m) worth of bank and tax fraud while also pleading guilty to five counts of tax evasion and one count of providing a false statement to a bank.

One person who’s fully enjoying the Michael Cohen meltdown is Stormy Daniel’s lawyer Michael Avenatti who took to Twitter to taunt the legal representative saying: “Buckle up Buttercup. You and your client completely misplayed this,”
