Joe Jackson, the father of late pop legend, Michael Jackson, has died.
The 89-year-old Jackson died in hospital at 3.30 am on Wednesday in Los Angeles, United States of America, with his wife Katherine at his bedside.
As manager, he helped to nurture the Jackson 5, the group that acted as springboard to Michael’s legendary solo career.
Born in 1928, Jackson married his wife Katherine in 1949 and they gave birth to 11 children.
