Isa Pantami, Minister of communications and Digital Economy has refrained from commenting on the public threat on his life by Boko Haram terrorists.

The Herald earlier reported that Boko Haram openly threatened the Minister for proposing a policy that disallows citizens from owning more than three sim cards.

Pantami proposing the policy further stated that all lines must be registered with the National Identity Number (NIN) by the end of the year.

Any line which failed to register with NIN will be deactivated.

However, this angered Abubakar Shekau,  leader of Boko Haram sect. He accused Pantami of creating policies to frustrate their activities and said the Minister will be dealt with accordingly.
