BREAKING: Mobolaji Johnson, First Lagos state Governor dies at 83

The First military Governor of Lagos state, Mobolaji  Johnson is dead.

Family sources who spoke to newsmen, revealed the Late Governor died on Wednesday (30th October, 2019) in the evening around 4pm. He died at the age of 83

Mobolaji Olufunsho Johnson born in 1936 was a military Governor who ruled Lagos state for 8 solid years. (May 1967 to July 1975)
He later retired as a Nigerian Army Brigadier.

He served as a Governor during the military regime of General Yakubu Gowon.

As Governor of Lagos, his administration supervised the unpopular demolition of Ajele Cemetery in the early 1970s.

He held several prominent positions at the Julius Berger construction company where he worked as a Director before he became the Chairman from 1996 till 2009.
