Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri said that Davido’s decision to donate the N200 million he raised for his birthday to orphanages across the country showed he is wiser than all those who gave him the money.
Earlier in the week, the musician appealed to his friends, fans, and colleagues to donate N100 million.
Some of the celebrities and business moguls that donated to the musician were billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, Nigerian lawmaker, Hon Akin Alabi, businessman, Emeka Okonkwo aka E-Money, among others.
In a Saturday post on Instagram, Davido disclosed that N200 million was realised in two days.
.He appreciated all those that contributed to the fund, disclosing that all the donated funds plus N50 million of his own money would be donated to orphanages in the country.
The announcement attracted accolades from the musician’s fans on social media.
Reacting, Omokri praised the musician for the gesture.
In a Facebook post, the US-based cleric said it showed Davido is wiser than all those that contributed the money.

He wrote, “Davido is much wiser than all those who gave him monies for his birthday.
“He understands the spiritual realm and the ways of God. He has secured a soft spot in the Heart of the Creator, by virtue of James 1:27.
“I commend him. What a heart of Gold. What a man to watch for the future. Could his life trajectory be like Ronald Reagan’s? Those who gave to him are are different issue entirely. They should read Proverbs 22:16.”
