N27k Minimum Wage: FG Budgets 105k For Aso Rock Dogs, Horses Monthly – Reno

1 Min Read

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has condemned the decision of the National Council of State to peg the new minimum wage for state and private sector workers at N27,000.

He wondered why the N30,000 proposed by the tripartite committee was not adopted by the council for all categories of workers instead of just Federal Government workers.

According to him, it is disheartening that police dogs and horses guiding the Presidential Villa have got N30,000 and N75,000 monthly feeding allocations in the 2019 budget while workers will get N27,000 as new minimum wage.

He said, “The 2019 budget allocates over ₦30k a month on the monthly feeding of police dogs and ₦75k for police horses guarding @AsoRock? So why can’t President @MBuhari give Nigeria’s workers ₦30,000 a month? Do dogs and horses deserve to earn more than Nigeria’s workers? #RenosDarts”
