Popular rapper, Ruggedman has said that he has nothing personal against controversial blogger, Kemi Olunloyo.
However, he said he would not fold his arms and allow her spread false information against him that could incite people into actions that threaten his peace and safety.
Ruggedman’s lawyers recently wrote Olunloyo to demand the retraction of some social media posts in which she accused the rapper of instigating Naira Marley’s ordeal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The rapper noted that he had instructed his lawyers on what to do should Olunloyo fail to delete the social media posts as demanded.
Speaking on what he thought Olunloyo’s motives were in making the allegation, Ruggedman said, “I wouldn’t know her state of mind or her motives. My interest is her not using her platform or any platform to defame my name and spread false information that could incite people into actions that threaten my peace and safety. That is against the law.”
The rapper also denied speaking against Naira Marley, saying, “I didn’t speak against Naira Marley. I only cautioned a young artiste from saying what I knew would not go down well with the authorities. It is who I am and I will always be me. I stand for what’s right, whether for myself or another person.”
