The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ekiti state, ASP Sunday Abutu has confirmed the arrest of a pastor’s wife in the wake of the death of a native doctor in a hotel in Ikere-Ekiti.
It was learnt that pandemonium broke out when the middle-aged man, said to be a popular native doctor in the area, collapsed during a sex romp with his lover in a hotel.
The man identified simply as Kehinde was said to have lodged in the hotel with his lover before the unfortunate incident.
It was learnt that the female lover, who has not been identified, raised an alarm after realising that her lover collapsed.
The noise attracted the attention of the hotel manager and other workers.
Residents of the area also rushed to the scene and the victim was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead.
A witness said, “The man died inside the room after having sex with the woman said to be spiritually laced with a thunderbolt (Magun).”
Confirming the arrest of the female lover, the police spokesman said, “Yes, we can confirm the death of the man in one of the hotels at Ikere-Ekiti on Monday. His corpse has been retrieved and deposited at the morgue.
“Let me quickly tell you that the woman in question is with us already as we commence investigations to unravel the cause or otherwise of the man’s death,” Abutu said.
