Ndidi scores as Leicester City compounds Newcastle’s misery

The English Premiere League continued on Sunday with the teams with 18 teams already playing seven games each and Leicester City getting their biggest ever win in the EPL against struggling Newcastle United, 5-0 it ended at the King Park Stadium.

The win propelled Leicester City back into third place, a position they momentarily dropped from following Saturdays round of fixtures.

Newcastle went away to Leicester looking a win or at least a good performance to set the tone for better days ahead as they have Chelsea and Manchester City next but they came short on all fronts against a highly motivated Foxes.

After beating Tottenham last week, the Brendan Rodgers men had to follow up with another electrifying performance and they didn’t disappoint.

It was 1-0 in the first half courtesy of a Dennis Praet solo effort but still a recoverable position by football standards but Newcastle undid themselves when Isaac Hayden picked up a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Leicester City’s Demarai Gray.

Jamie Vardy scored two, an own goal by Paul Dummett and Nigerian Wilfred Ndidi finished sublimely form a Jonny Evans cross to make it 5 for the afternoon.

Arsenal and Manchester United are in action today in Monday Night Football with the Gunners looking to move back into fourth position and the Red Devils desiring a return to winning ways.
