Footage has emerged of the moment operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the early hours of Wednesday stormed the home of popular Instagram comedian, DeGeneral, and allegedly assaulted him and his friends.

An Instagram Live video recorded by one of the comedian’s friends shows operatives wearing red vests with the name ‘NDLEA’ emblazoned.

One of the operatives can be heard expressing displeasure at the occupants for recording them.

A male operative can be seen pacifying DeGeneral, who appears agitated at the invasion of his home.

The comedian can also be heard loudly querying the operatives’ right to invade his home at night, saying ‘I know my right’.

However, what appears to be a physical struggle soon ensued, with the NDLEA operatives verbally reprimanding the occupants and ordering them to lay on the ground so as to be handcuffed.

Popular comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni, who shared a copy of the video on Twitter at 1:41 am, questioned the NDLEA’s modus operandi.

He wrote, “So you people’s work is to be entering people’s houses in the middle of the night to be beating and harassing citizens.

“This is happening right now. We don’t know where they have taken him to. Oppressors everywhere!!!”

The agency has yet to confirm its presence at the comedian’s home.
