Neymar Mocks Mexico After World Cup Win

Brazil’s striker Neymar has some taunts for Mexico after the Selecao were able to secure a 2-0 victory over Mexico to set up a Quarter-Final date with Belgium who were 3-2 winners in a dramatic second-round game against Japan.

Neymar who spent a lot of the game on the ground after receiving fouls, both real and imagined, by the Mexican team and he was more than happy to compound their woes by using some taunting words while being interviewed.

“They talked too much, and they are going home,” he said to reporters after the final whistle.

“I want to congratulate the whole team. There are times in any game where you have to suffer, these are tough games and Mexico are a great side, but we showed lots of class.

“Us attackers have to score the goals because we know that we are very strong at the back.”

Neymar also spoke on the stamp he received from Layun which he said annoyed him a lot

“It was unfair. The ball was not in play and we were off the pitch,”  he said.

Neymar now has two goals in this World Cup after scoring against Costa Rica. He will now have his eyes firmly set on the game against Belgium who came from 2 goals down to defeat Japan 2-3
