Neymar came on as a substitute as his new club Barcelona battered his old team Santos 8-0 at the Nou Camp.
The tricky Brazilian played on the left of a front three – as he will be expected to when La Liga starts in a few weeks time. Lionel Messi will spearhead the side in a false-nine role, while Neymar will support the four times Ballon D’or winner from the left. Pedro and Alexis Sanchez will compete for the spot at the right of the front three.
Neymar, the 21-year-old £50m signing, showed some nice touches when he came on, and burst past Santos’ right-back on numerous occasions.
