The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the death of its Head of Protocol, Ibrahim Abubakar.
According to a tweet on its verified Twitter handle @thenff, the football body said Abubakar was shot dead in his Abuja residence in the early hours of today (Wednesday) by “armed robbers”.
The body further said that the remains of the deceased had been taken to his hometown of Kaduna for burial according to Islamic rites.
