A non-governmental organisation called Green Heart Impact Foundation (GHIF) has applauded the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, for his bold step towards restructuring the state civil service.

This commendation was made by the president, GHIF, Munerera Sule Tanimu, while answering questions from journalists in Abuja at the weekend on the state of affairs in Kaduna State after El-Rufai assumed office on May 29, 2015.

Tanimu said, “The merging and restructuring of the state’s ministries and agencies from 19 to 13, and pruning of the number of commissioners from 24 to 13 indicate the governor’s political will and resolve to reposition the development of the state and place it on a fast-track.”

He described the governor’s move as historic and heroic.

“It is pertinent to state that Kaduna State is lucky to have made the right choice by voting for a credible candidate as Nasir El-Rufai to be governor of the state for four years.”

“We in Green Heart Impact Foundation (GHIF) are non-partisan and we have done our critical assessment and analysis on Governor El-Rufai for almost three months that he has assumed office after being sworn in on May 29, 2015.

“We also commend his wisdom and vision for taking a pragmatic step towards restructuring the state’s civil service, which was historic and heroic. This has never been done by any successive administration in the state”.
