American female rapper, Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty popularly known as Nicki Minaj has demanded payment from Twitter for coming up with the Voice Note idea.

On June 17th, Twitter announced on its official Twitter account that it will be releasing a new feature that allows users to add a voice note to their tweet.

The tweet stated: “You can Tweet a Tweet. But now you can Tweet your voice! Rolling out today on iOS, you can now record and Tweet with audio.”

Following twitters announcement, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to reveal that the idea was hers. She disclosed an old tweet back in 2017 where she proposed that Twitter should add a voice note feature for her to voice her tweets.
