Nigeria Army responds to Boko Haram’s prisoner swap Request

The Nigerian Army has given its thoughts on the suggestion by terrorist organization Boko Haram for a swap between them and the Army where the latter releases prisoners for some of the Chibok girls.

The request was made in a video which was released on Sunday the 14th of August 2016. Speaking on the request by the sect, Colonel ‎Olonishakin after a security Council meeting in Abuja today, told newsmen that the decision to swap the girls is a political one

“‎That is a political decision to be taken. The military’s decisions that we are going ahead with our operations and the operations are being conducted appropriately

Olonishakin also stated that the military authorities were analyzing the video released by Boko Haram sect and “we will make appropriate comments at the right time.’’
