Nigerian House of Reps Member’s Son Shot Dead In The UK

The Son of a house of reps member in Nigeria, Abraham Badru was shot dead in the United Kingdom yesterday.

His father, Enitan Badru is representing Lagos Island I constituency at the house of representatives

According to the Evening Standard,  Badru who had been to church earlier that Sunday was shot around 11pm when he was getting out of his car, near his family’s residence in Hackney.

A neighbour who spoke to the Standard said; “As soon as I heard the bang, I knew it was a gunshot. I went to my balcony and saw a man slumped over on the ground at the back of a car,”

According to the neighbour, there was just a single gunshot and he saw no escaping vehicle.

Another neighbour described how Badru’s mother found her son; “It was terrible listening to her collapse crying on the floor. She was just screaming. Everyone was very upset and I had to go away, I couldn’t take it. It happened on our doorstep and I had to say a little prayer for the family,” the neighbour said.

There are currently no suspects neither have there been any arrests made so far, however,  Larry Smith, the detective chief Inspector from Scotland Yard’s murder squad has appealed for any piece of information that could lead to the killer’s apprehension and to help the police determine the reason Badru was killed.

Abraham was only 26 years old
