Nigerian Athletes at the 2016 Olympics holding in Rio, Brazil have called on the President, Muhamadu Buhari to consider their welfare as they are starving.
Recall that some days ago, the Dream team coach, Samson Siasia cried out for help as he noted that they were starving in the United States where the team had gone for training. Siasia further revealed that the team’s officials had not been paid for five months.
Following the cry, the Nigerian team due to logistics issue arrived late for the competition as they touched down in Brazil at about 2:19 pm on Thursday.
The participating athletes have however lamented the lack of support from the Federal Government as they launched a GoFundme account to raise money from the public.
