The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police has apprehended two Pakistani nationals, Roman Gull (19) and Aftab Ahmad (28), who are allegedly part of a kidnapping gang. The arrests followed a distress call on Wednesday regarding the abduction of a 48-year-old Pakistani man in Ikeja.

Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed that the anti-crime patrol unit swiftly responded to the call, rescuing the victim and arresting the suspects. Five other Pakistani accomplices managed to escape.

Investigations revealed that the suspects lured the victim from Kano to Lagos under the guise of offering him a job as a chef. Upon arrival, they overpowered him, tied him up, and demanded a N50 million ransom from his employer in Kano. The employer paid N1 million to buy time and alerted the police.
